The bar area at Skala Inn is lit—perfect for winding down after hitting the slopes. Plus, they serve up some rockin' Japanese-style plum wine. the free shuttle service? Dope! And those Azechi Umetaro prints scattered around the inn? Straight-up magical.
The hosts at Skala might not be the slickest, but hey, adds to the charm, right? Dealing with daily hairdryer borrowing was a bit extra, and the distance from Happo Town was a bummer.

Original and charming place with incredible employees who provide great service. Exceptional breakfast, appetising food. All in all marvellous and lovely location, short walk to Grove Inn Skala, 2 different bus stops, and the local clinic. Also, in the woodlands. Honestly no reason to complain

At Skala Inn, we were pleasantly surprised by the abundant breakfast offerings that varied daily, including homemade bread, miso soup, and fresh juices. the welcoming hosts provided above-and-beyond service, even storing our bags while we explored Nozawa Onsen. the onsen and massage chair were perfect for relaxing after a day on the slopes. Our stay was truly special.
